Stedman crushers on display at ConExpo

Stedman Machine Co. debuted its latest cage mill offering Tuesday and highlighted a tried-and-true horizontal shaft impactor (HSI) at ConExpo-Con/Agg.

On display were the company’s new heavy-duty six-row cage mill and its Grand Slam GS4860 HSI.

The cage mill, which Stedman says is designed for finer grinding of soft to medium abrasive applications, features a high-percentage pass (75 micron, 200 mesh), a lower installed system cost, and less complicated controls and operation. Among the applications the cage mill fits are agricultural lime, hydrated lime and quicklime.

Air classification can be integrated into the system, Stedman adds, as it is designed for easier maintenance and high uptime. The cage mill comes in a modular design with integrated power and controls. A higher capacity four-row cage design is available, as well.

The Grand Slam GS4860, meanwhile, is ideal for use as a secondary crusher for either final sizing or for feeding a tertiary plant, according to Stedman. It can size material down to 1/2-in. minus.

The GS4860 has a maximum capacity of 300 tph, and it can handle a 12-in. maximum feed size. It is available in two-, three- or four-row breaker designs, with a higher first pass designed to increase product yield, the company says.
