The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Annual Convention is underway in Las Vegas, where aggregate industry leaders are gathering for a meeting held jointly this year with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) and the Portland Cement Association (PCA).

The 2023 meeting, whose theme is “Building the Future Together,” is taking place at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas.

“This meeting is a valuable time for our association members to meet, network and learn about our industries’ work and priorities,” says Karen Hubacz, president at Bond Construction Corp. who serves NSSGA as board chair.

NSSGA now hosts its Annual Convention in conjunction with NRMCA and PCA during ConExpo-Con/Agg years.

“Over the past three years, we have seen that working together creates innovative solutions,” Hubacz says. “Though this joint meeting only occurs once every three years, it is evident that the staff of our associations talk and collaborate regularly throughout the year, which is a value-add for every member.”

NSSGA says more than 1,100 industry leaders converged in Las Vegas this week for the jointly held conventions.

“The event is essential for our three associations to gather and discuss our shared priority issues so we can take the aggregates and materials industries to the next level,” says Michael Johnson, president and CEO of NSSGA. “Our recent achievements in Washington are a testament to the hard work and advocacy efforts of our association staff and our members.”
