Downtime due to motor failure of mining and aggregate belt conveyors is primarily due to the rise in oil temperature and decrease in oil viscosity resulting in poor lubrication. VDG developed and patented new drum motor oil conditioning system technology that addresses this issue. VDG’s Oil Cooler System conditions and cools the oil of the drum motor and maintains optimal oil temperature and viscosity. It filters, conditions, and reduces the oil temperature inside the drum motor, averting motor failures and consequent costs, including downtime. The VDG Oil Cooler is supplied as standard for GrizzlyDrive Drum Motors 75 HP and higher.
